Single black women deserve the same kind of happiness other women enjoy. They too deserve men who will love, respect and honor them, regardless of race or skin color. Word has been going around that White men don't find Black women attractive and unfortunately, some black women do believe this to be true. But instead of believing this, why not judge every white man as an individual?

Truth be told, there is evidence that an increasing number of black women are dating and marrying interracially. This alone is enough proof that some White men indeed do love black women. So instead of single black women sitting and believing some people's admonitions about White men, I think it will only be fair to judge every man by the content of his character.

Single black women should first identify what they are looking for and what they really want in man. And if that person who has shown interest in you and has what you are looking for happens to be from another race (not necessarily white), then I think Whoopi's advice is worth following “ date who is around. We don't find happiness by dating someone from our own race. We get happiness from dating a person who brings out the happiness in us.

What better reason to date interracially than having found a good man “ no matter their skin color?
